“Approach” by a Universe of Me

Universe of Me is a captivating techno producer renowned for his dynamic live performances and improvisational style. He began his musical journey in the late 90s as a DJ and quickly transitioned to music production, driven by a desire to create his own sound. To deepen his musical knowledge, he began playing the piano, and after a few years of practice, he spent three years studying at a conservatory. There, he honed his skills but soon realised that his ambitions often exceeded his technical abilities. This realisation propelled him back to the studio, where he embraced experimentation and creativity.

After releasing music on various labels, Universe of Me launched his own label, “Hitherto,” creating a platform for his artistic vision and that of like-minded creators. Each track he creates is an improvised live recording, captured in a single take using only hardware; no post-production editing is done. This approach invites listeners into a world of exploration and improvisation, where every moment offers a new experience in the ever-evolving universe of sound.

“a Universe of Me” created the tracks for the “Approach EP” during a series of live, improvised sessions. Each piece was recorded in a single take, without any post-production editing, allowing the music to evolve organically in real time. This process allowed the sound to take shape naturally, exploring new dimensions without limits.

Today, a Universe of Me creates immersive sonic experiences that combine driving rhythms with rich, atmospheric textures. Their live shows exemplify their commitment to improvisation and connecting with the audience, ensuring that each performance is a unique exploration of sound. With every release and performance, they invite listeners to journey through the boundless possibilities of their musical universe.
