”Feed Me Hope” by Her picture

Her Picture is a 3-piece alt-rock outfit, comprised of lead singer Anny Tahaney, bassist Catriona Reid and drummer Finlay Smith. The band have received consistent support from BBC Introducing, featuring on their Ones to Watch 2023 list, earning Track of the week twice, playing their Live Showcase at King Tut’s Wah Wah Hut and gaining airplay on Radio 1 via the Alyx Holcombe show.

They have been championed by Clash, NME, The Sunday Times, The Skinny, SNACK, and God Is In The TV. Their catalogue has enjoyed editorial playlisting through Spotify, New in Rock and River Walk (Apple Music), as well as Metal Detector, Soundcheck, Nu Rock and Grrrls (Deezer). They were also selected by a panel of international media and industry for New From Scotland’s 2025 Talent Development Programme, presented by Wide Days.

Following their acclaimed 2023 debut, ‘Don’t Try to Comfort Me’, Her Picture is set to release their highly anticipated concept record on 20 June, ‘Feed Me Hope’. Easily their most ambitious body of work yet, the 6-track EP is inspired by the Greek Myth of the Five Rivers of the Underworld, and its associated motifs of Oblivion, Hate, Fire, Wailing and Woe. By adapting this myth, Her Picture has crafted a sonic journey out of their next record, one that chronicles healing, breaking generational cycles and self-forgiveness.

Featuring previous releases ‘Can’t Think’, ‘Muscle Memory’ and ‘Reasons I Tried’, the track-list of ‘Feed Me Hope’ functions as stepping stones to a cinematic odyssey of ego-death and rebirth, soundtracked by a rich and varied soundscape of haunting vocals, screeching guitars, delicate piano melodies and shimmering synths. Dynamic and emotive, Her Picture once again cements itself at the forefront of emerging Scottish talent, pushing the boundaries of their songwriting to immerse listeners in a carefully curated world where the storytelling of Ethel Cain’s ‘Preacher’s Daughter’ meets the innovative production of Aurora’s ‘A Different Kind of
Human.’

Her Picture will headline Stereo on 27 June to celebrate the release of ‘Feed Me Hope’, in collaboration with independent Glasgow promoters Crowded Flat.
